Rhythm Converted presents RC089: Tom Hades – Work It EP
Tom Hades is back with another ‘yin and yang’ EP where one track is a banger to make the crowd go mad in the early hours and one carries a flirty melody to tease people to join the party at the beginning of the night or massage the kinks out of them after a long night.
- Work It
Aptly named for its sounds, Work It is insistent on making you move. The room could easily go black and foggy and the crowd wouldn’t even notice as they dance away to the impetuous synths that create a bit of a push-pull with one’s body. The bass is grimy, as dark and grimy as the rooms this track will be played in. And when it drops after such a build, everyone will be begging for the bass and no one will be left standing.
- Wake Up
Tom has a way of naming his tracks to reflect exactly the emotion he tries to convey in each and this beauty is no exception. For those of you used to the heavy side of Tom, this track is a welcome addition to anyone’s collection as a more contemplative, introspective piece. The drive is still there as the chords get ridden out throughout the track but this one is more like foreplay or a grand conclusion, like the cherry on top of any set.
